PingChekka is a simple application that sends a ping every five seconds to a host of your choice, and shows the status of that host in the System Tray. It can notify you with the balloon popup in the tray when the host changes its status (online/offline ). It also can watch over servers, network printers, etc. in other words ping anything that has an IP address.
